Creeped-out-ness

In our first week in the house, we found old family photos in the basement. At that time, the basement was disgusting and smelled like mildew. There was standing murky water in the cockeyed concrete basin. It was dark because the overhead lights didn't work; there was a short in the light fixture at the bottom of the stairs. Mold crawled up the washroom walls from some sort of overflow incident. I'm a little embarrassed to say, but I had a pang of physical creeped-out-ness when I found these, like I expected to see a ghost.

Now though that the basement is in much better shape, they no longer seem creepy at all. I figure, the family'd probably like these preserved in some form, because they are fading. ProPil heeds the silent call! Time to digitize. I messed with the contrast a little to make the images easier to discern.

The included text is printed or written in script on the back of the photos. Enjoy!
