We've also been watching the John Adams mini-series. We're up to Episode 6. We highly recommend it, but we've also been sort of unsettled by some of the realistic gore. HBO does a universally solid job of depicting historical periods.
We've been procrastinating sharing pictures of the front yard, hoping to allow the grass to fill in. We've been talking with neighbors about our botanical alopecia. Well, this is what it looked liked...
JUNE 24
We removed a lot of lonely, wilted stuff, split the massive hasta, planted a japanese maple, a lavender bush (Thanks, Em!), a row of crawly-purple-flowery-ivy-type plants along the front, and then... sprinkled tons of grass seed over the course of a few weeks.
