It's been windy, warm, and often rainy outside. We spent some time on the porch during last night's dinner, and there was a rain storm. Then I noticed a leak in the corner of the porch. We previously thought there was just some condensation build-up in that corner that caused paint to peel. Then... drip, drip, drip.
Since we moved in, we also watched another damaged area in that part of the house peel its paint. We didn't quite know what to make of it. Now it makes sense that those two areas of peeling are related. Hopefully these pictures tell the tale - the bent downspout in the pictures should serve as a point of reference.
Hopefully that works. We'll keep an eye on it.
