We're heading to Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel for a Franz Ferdinand concert tonight, and the weekend is going to be spent painting our bedroom.
I reported yesterday we had some bad news to share. Last year in June, when we moved in, the tree/bush in the backyard was big and bushy, and we cut it back... "elevated" it (pictured below) so grass could grow underneath and we could walk beneath it. We talked about issues with the burning bush in this post in August. Sadly, only a 1/4 or a 1/3 of the tree has "budded out". The rest appears to be dead.

We've got the name and number of an arborist we'll be calling.
