18-Month Mark

Today we successfully reached our 18-month mark! Here're some pictures from the past 6-8 weeks.

Goats and goatlets at Tougas Farm in MA where we picked our own apples on a rainy day

Two too cute lab/pit pups at the PARL

In mid-October we went to the Roger Williams Park Jack-o-lantern Spectacular. Might be fun to get some people in town for that next year. In fact, as advertised, it was spectacular, but the lighting made photographing all the splendidly carved pumpkins difficult. We've shared a bit of what we saw anyway.

Lots of pumpkins

A tribute to Old Blue Eyes

The finale (with our flash on, so you can see the faces/art well)

Behind old Bessie and the nook in the back storage area, new built-in shelving

Expanded flooring in the attic (all the lighter-colored boards)

The third garden bed

A cord of firewood we got yesterday

Basement art activity is now possible; note the track lighting Jonathan helped us install

A couple IKEA floor lamps now hang from the rafters

Our big news at the moment is that Sue is studying extra-hard for the licensing exam. She has been studying hard for the past three-four months, but she's studying *extra*hard now, because the test is on the 21st (a week from tomorrow). Wish her luck!

And VIPS never called back, so I needed another volunteering outlet. One evening per week from January to May I'll be taking Master Gardner classes at University of Rhode Island. After you take the courses, then you have to volunteer 50 hours training the public -- in a variety of venues -- how to garden. After that, you are a certified Master Gardener.

Hope everyone is doing well this holiday season. Hugs and cheers!
